Help
Answers for members and organisers, and a real person if you need one.
For members
- Joining a group
- Press Join on the group’s page. No account needed: we email you a link to finish. Some groups approve new members first.
- Going to an event
- Press RSVP on the event’s page. A full event offers its waitlist, and we email you if a spot opens. Maybe tells the organiser without holding a seat.
- Links in our emails
- A sign-in link works once and expires after a short while. If yours has, open the group again and ask for a new link.
- Leaving a group
- Leave from My Groups or from the group’s page. You stop getting its updates; the events you went to stay in your history.
- Messages and safety
- You can message people you share a group with. Block or report anyone, and switch messages off in Settings.
- Your SocialZop
- socialzop.com/yourname is your own page: who you are and the groups you run. It is live from the moment you claim it, and you can hide it any time.
For organisers
- 1
Start your group
Tell us the idea. We write the name and description with you, then add a cover and a home city.
- 2
Add a short intro
New groups publish with an intro video, so people can see who they’re joining. Record one, upload one, or let us create it.
- 3
Invite and share
Share your group’s link anywhere. Growth shows which channels actually bring people.
- 4
Create events
A group is people; an event is the reason they turn up. Post updates between them.
How people find your group
- Being listed
- Public, with a description, a category and a city. That is the whole bar — you do not need an event or a video to appear.
- Ranking higher
- Something coming up counts most, then being near the person searching, then a recent event, new members, an intro video, and a cover image.
- Staying visible
- Groups are marked Active, Quiet, Inactive or Dormant automatically, from when you last did something real — held or scheduled an event, posted an update, or published a video. Nobody can set this by hand.
- Coming back
- A dormant group is never deleted. Its page, members and history stay exactly as they were, and one update or event brings it back.
